Played Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Picturesque little 9-hole course. Very well maintained and coped well with the torrential rain they received days before we played there.
The smallish greens were deceptively tricky and multipaced (probably due to the wet weather). Often raised and falling away at the edges, they protected the cup and made three-putting a real consideration.
The rain soften up the area around the greens and took bump and runs out of play.
Generally the short holes make pars are pretty achievable to anyone but you really need to have your short game worked out if you’re hoping to score well.
The clubhouse barman admitted afterwards the greens there have given some players the dreaded putting yipps and we could see why.
It’s one of those courses you want to come back to again as we left a lot of shots out on the course when we played and we’re keen to revisit and redeem ourselves!
