We played New Norfolk 9-hole golf course on the March long weekend.

Lots of elevated greens and hilly fairways which had some great views of the Derwent Valley. 

Greens were well kept although a bit slower then what we are used to, surprising since it was only a day after their weekly comp day.

Tim and I played with Megan and Grant Purton for the Ferton Shield so we played the layout twice with most of the tees the second time around located on separate beds. 

The course wasn’t overly long with all greens reachable for the average striker. 

The two par threes were standouts with the sixth/15th being a short 130m surrounded by three bunkers and the 8th/17th protected in the front by a large pond and bunkers tightly around the green.
