Originally designed by Peter Toogood, Thirlstane is regarded as one of the best nine-hole golf courses in Tasmania. It’s set in rural surroundings with flat fairways. Highlights include a 144-metre par-3 that features a green situated between two lakes and it’s signature hole is probably the 6th.

Thirlstane is a very picturesque golf course. Tim and I had a mixed bag in regard to play but the greens were good and the fairways decent.

I’ve played it few times and really like the course.
